Unlike the Home Health division of Interim HealthCare, the non-medical care giving services provided by Interim Personal Care are typically not covered by insurance. The majority of private duty services are privately paid for by check or personal credit card. Other sources of payment include:

  • Kern Regional Center
  • Workers Compensation
  • Veteran’s “Aid & Attendance” Benefit
  • Long Term Care Insurance

Unfortunately, many people are under the assumption that Medicare, Medi-Cal, or their private health insurance plan will cover the cost of personal care givers in the home. In fact, hardly a day goes by that we don’t have to inform a caller that unfortunately, such is not the case. However, for those who are receiving or qualify for Medi-Cal, the Kern County Aging & Adult Services may be able to provide a limited number of care giving hours through their In Home Supportive Services (IHSS) division.

Care givers who are both compassionate and skilled to perform the tasks you need accomplished. Many of our care givers have been with us 10 years or more; uncommon in our industry.
If you have an after hour need, your call goes directly to one of the managers on duty to respond immediately to your concern. 24 hours, 7 days a week, you will speak to an Interim employee who has the authority to make an immediate decision.
